Omar originally came to Rescue Ranch as a very small puppy and was raised through our puppy foster program. He and his sister Octavia were adopted out together and then returned a couple of years later because of unfortunate family circumstances. Omar is a smart, affectionate boy. He can be a little shy, initially, but he is a born cuddler once he gets to know you. He’s the kind of dog who will happily take long walks, roam his property, and then curl up with you on the sofa for some TV time. Plus, at just 35 pounds, he’s nice compact size for joining the family on trips and adventures. Omar is dog social, very playful, and alert. He is also extremely food-motivated! Since returning to the Ranch he has been learning to take treats more gently, but he still gets excited when he sees a bag of cookies. We expect this will make him easy to train in the finer points of obedience. He already walks well on-leash and knows how to “Sit.”
