If you are looking for a smart, young, athletic dog, Monty may be just right for you! He is an extremely happy and good-natured boy who craves a connection with people. He has so much love to give and just needs a little time and training to be the wonderful companion he was meant to be.
Monty is a very quick learner! He’s already mastered “Sit” and “Down,” and is working on taking treats gently. He walks fairly well on-leash, especially with the help of a harness, and would make a fantastic outdoor adventure buddy. He is still quite exuberant and tends to get a bit over-excited when first greeting a friend. However, he’s eager to please, and once he knows he has your attention he tries really hard to earn your approval.
Monty is dog social with most of the dogs he’s been introduced to here at the ranch and might do well with the right canine companion. We don’t know his history with cats but recommend caution around small, chaseable animals. Due to his size and energy level, we think he might be a bit overwhelming for small children. He’d do best in a family with older kids or adults only.
