Meet Kalani

Kalani, rescue Ranch Dog of the Week

Miss Kalani wants the world to know that she is a wonderful dog! This gorgeous girl came to us from the county shelter, so we don’t know anything about her past. What we DO know is that she is very young (we’re estimating just one year old), and a very enthusiastic young lady. She is full of energy and eagerness to enjoy life. She would make a fabulous companion for anyone who is looking for a dog to share their active lifestyle.

Since coming to the Ranch, Kalani has been working hard on her manners. She walks well on a leash (she can use reminders not to pull) and though very curious about the world around her, she listens well to her handler. She will need a lot of exercise to keep her happy and would make a great walking, hiking, or running companion. She knows how to “Sit” and is very treat-motivated, so picking up further obedience cues should be a cinch. She is fully house trained and quiet. And she appears to be dog social, too, and would likely do well with a canine companion.

We don’t know if Kalani has any experience around children and her exuberance may be a bit overwhelming for small kids. Because of this, we’re recommending her to families with older kids. We don’t know her history with cats but, as always, we recommend caution when introducing her to small animals.

If Kalani sounds like your best friend to be, come on down to the Ranch to meet her today!

Walk-ins are welcome, but please check our hours before coming to visit. If you’re coming from a long way to meet a specific dog, we encourage you to call us first to be sure they’re available and on site when you visit. Phone: (530) 842-0829.
