Dixie is one of the Yahzee pups! Her litter was fostered by Rescue Ranch in the summer of 2020. Unfortunately, Dixie is still looking for the perfect family for her intense, busy personality.
Dixie is a highly active, energetic girl who needs room to run and (ideally) a ranch or large property to supervise. The more she has to do, the better! She’s an intelligent, busy girl and has a high working drive. Like many herding type dogs, Dixie can be mouthy, will use her heeler instincts to herd her family members. Watch those ankles! We don’t recommend her to a family with young children. She can be dog selective (she likes to be the boss and can be a very determined player) and picky when it comes to canine friends. As always, a meet and greet with any potential housemates is essential to make sure it is a good it. She has lived with cats in the past.
Dixie has some pretty impressive obedience skills: she walks well on leash and knows “Sit” and “Down” and several other commands. She can be choosy about the people she allows into her inner circle. Because of this, she may do best with a family that is willing to keep her separate when there are visitors over.
If Dixie sounds like your perfect match, call the Ranch to make an appointment to meet her today!
