Meet Daisy

Daisy1

Daisy came to us this spring due to changes in her family’s circumstances. When she arrived, we guessed that she hadn’t been fully socialized. It has taken Daisy a couple of months to settle in and feel comfortable with shelter life. Her confidence  is still a work in progress, but her circle of friends among the staff and volunteers is widening. If you’re looking for a dog who needs a calm environment and confidence building, then read on!

Though Daisy can be a bit slow to accept new people, she’s a very affectionate dog who longs for companionship and attention. Once she’s your friend, she loves to be petted and cuddled, and especially likes belly rubs.

She enjoys her walks on-leash and time spent playing with her doggy friends in the agility yard.

We think that Daisy would do best in an adult-only home orone with older children who understand boundaries. She would probably do well with a calm canine companion. As always, meet-and-greets with any potential housemates is required to ensure a good fit.

Daisy has some basic training, and, with encouragement, we know she will learn more. She already knows how to “Sit,” is house and crate trained, and rides well in the car!

Her previous owner said she is playful and likes toys. Based on our observations, she has the energy and stamina for outdoor adventures. She’d appreciate a yard to play in, but she also strikes us a dog who will enjoy hanging out indoors on the couch.

An added bonus is that she was raised with cats and might do well with a feline or two.

If Daisy sounds like the right fit for your family, come on down to the Ranch to meet this shy, sweet girl today!

Walk-ins are welcome, but please check our hours before coming to visit. If you’re coming from a long way to meet a specific dog, we encourage you to call us first to be sure they’re available and on site when you visit. Phone: (530) 842-0829.
