Don’t be fooled by this fellow’s age: Copper is still in the prime of life! Come to meet him and we’ll bet that you’d never have taken him for a senior dog. Copper–or Copp, as we call him here at the Ranch–has the classic watchdog temperament. He can be a touch fence reactive and a little slow to warm up to new people. But deep down he’s people-oriented and once he recognizes a friend, he transforms into a big goofy guy who doesn’t realize he is not still a puppy.
Copper loves his daily exercise and walks well on leash, though he may need occasional reminders to not pull. If you’re looking for incentive to get you out of doors, Copp would make a great walking companion. And if you are looking for a guardian for your family or an effective deterrent, this good boy would be a great choice. We won’t say that he likes to play cops and robbers (get it?), but suffice it to say that he’s quite the impressive gentleman and would love to keep watch over a home and yard.
We don’t know Copper’s history with children but, because he’s such a large dog, we’re recommending him to a home with older kids who understand how to respect a dog’s boundaries. Copper is used to being the dog in charge but has played successfully with other dogs after a proper introduction. We don’t know his history with cats.
If Copper sounds like your cup of tea, come on down to the Ranch to meet him today!
