Here at the Ranch we don’t often receive dogs in bonded pairs. Meadow and our other Dog of the Week, her best friend Breelee, are one of the rare exceptions. These beautiful older gals were surrendered together to a high-kill shelter in central California for reasons we do not know. We’re so glad to have been able to bring them north to safety and give them another chance at finding a furever home. Do you have room in your home and heart for a very special pair of dogs? Then read on!
These girls are both six years old, gentle, and easy-going. Meadow is a husky mix and is the more active of the two. She likes to play the leader and Breelee happily follows along for the fun. Meadow loves getting attention and is very food motivated, which should make training a cinch. She already knows how to “Sit” and walk well on leash (with Breelee by her side, of course!). She likes to talk (as most huskies do) and makes an amusing conversational partner.
Meadow is a charming dog who is friendly with everyone she meets. She’d make a perfect addition to a laid-back household, joining in for calm adventures: car rides, swims, and long walks in the woods would be right up her alley! We haven’t tested her with other dogs besides Breelee, but she gets on beautifully with her and we expect would be happy around other calm dogs as well. We don’t know her history with cats but we expect a dog-savvy feline or two would not be a problem.
What do you think? Do Meadow and Breelee sound like the right fit for your home and heart? Then by all means come on down to the Ranch to meet these loving girls today!
