Meet Meadow

Meadow, Rescue Ranch Dog of the Week

Meadow came to Rescue Ranch last fall from a kill shelter in central California. Can you believe it’s taken her this long to find her forever home? Neither can we! She’s really a lovely dog and in the right home we know she will shine as the companion she was meant to be.

Though you may have heard that huskies are energetic dogs, Meadow may be the exception to the general rule. She is actually very calm and low-key. She enjoys the simple things in life, like food and attention. She also loves playing in the water! She likes to talk and will happily tell you all about her adventures. Meadow is also quite responsive to training. She already knows how to “Sit” and walks well on leash. She is food motivated and wants to please.

In fact, Meadow is all around just a great dog. She is social with most other dogs and friendly with just about everyone she meets. She’d be a wonderful addition to any quiet family and she’d love to be included in your adventures: car rides, puppuccinos (or hamburgers!), and long walks in the woods would be right up her alley!

If Meadow sounds like your perfect match, come on down to the Ranch to meet this well-mannered lady today!

Although Meadow and Breelee were closely bonded when they came to Rescue Ranch, the decision was finally made to separate them to increase their chances at adoption. We had hoped they would go together, but they have both adjusted to the separation. They still see each other and are sometimes walked together. Below is the original article about the bonded pair, when we still held out hope that they would find a home together.
