Dog of the Week: meet Breelee one of lovely bonded pair

Breelee, Rescue Ranch Dog of the Week

Here at the Ranch we don’t often receive dogs in bonded pairs. Breelee and her best friend Meadow are a very special exception! These beautiful older gals were surrendered together to a high-kill shelter in central California for reasons we do not know. We’re just glad we were able to bring them north to safety and give them another chance at a furever home. Are you looking for a pair of gentle, older dogs to adopt together? Then read on!

These girls are both six years old and easy-going. Breelee loves her toys and is food motivated, which should make training a breeze. She already knows how to “Sit” and walk politely on leash (with Meadow by her side, of course!).

Generally speaking, Breelee is a quiet and easy-going dog. She is a good watchdog behind a barrier, but once introduced she is friendly with just about everyone she meets. She’d be a wonderful addition to any laid-back family who is looking for a dog who will join in for calm adventures: car rides, puppuccinos (or hamburgers!), and long walks in the woods would be right up her alley! Though she gets on beautifully with Meadow, Breelee can sometimes be a bit stiff with some other dogs. We don’t know her history with cats.

What do you think? Do Breelee and Meadow sound like the right fit for your home and heart? Then by all means come on down to the Ranch to meet these loving girls today!
