61 abandoned puppies and stray moms taken in during the months of November -January.

Puppy rescue at Rescue Ranch is truly a community affair. It starts with puppies (sometimes pregnant moms or moms already with pups) spending quality time safely in a foster home. Every litter of puppies is different from those young enough to still need bottle feeding every few hours to those old enough to start their vaccinations and socializing with other gentle caring adult dogs to teach them doggy skills.

After their first series of puppy vaccinations and health checks, it means a trip to the ranch to meet potential adopting families, show off at a puppy palooza, or for older pups a new home at the ranch where they get to meet so many new people on a daily basis. After their second set of puppy vaccinations, it is time for them to head home with approved and loving families.

At six months, we get to see them all again as they head to the vet for a follow-up health check, spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and a microchip. Raising a healthy, happy, well-socialized puppy takes a community of fosters, volunteers, rescue ranch staff and visitors, our amazing veterinary support from Ashland Animal Medical Hospital and of course the love and care of the adopting family.

Thank-you to everyone who donates his or her time, money, and hearts into this labor of love. Please consider a donation to Rescue Ranch to support this program or check out our wish list on Amazon and send some puppy pads, puppy toys or small puppy collars to the ranch. Every donation counts to help us all help these littlest ones.
